OUR VISION
We are raising up a culturally diverse community of followers of Jesus, who by the power of the Holy Spirit, join in God’s rescue mission for the world.
OUR PURPOSE
We exist to glorify God and make His glory known in the world.
WHAT WE VALUE
Following Jesus
When Jesus calls us to follow him, He is not inviting himself along on our journey, but He is inviting us to follow His path, wherever He goes, and to learn from Him. Only in following Jesus can we become more like Him, and only if we have Him, do we have eternal life. 1 John 5:11 says “God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.“ Following Jesus means He gets to call the shots, and be the one in charge in our lives.
Discipleship
In Matthew 28:19, Jesus said “Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations”. We see discipleship in a twofold manner. We have a responsibility to those who we bring into God’s kingdom, to teach them, challenge them, and walk with them as they grow in their faith. We also have a responsibility towards one another to continue in discipleship, as iron sharpens iron, so we will grow into maturity in our faith, and see it reflected in our lives and actions.
Experiencing God
In 1 John 1:1, it says “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life.” John wasn’t just talking about what he had heard, but what he had experienced. He experienced Jesus. He saw, heard, and touched Jesus. He experienced an interactive and powerful relationship. Also, when the Holy Spirit came at Pentecost, the believers were filled with the Spirit of God, who would in partnership work in power through believers. This Gospel, this faith we profess, is not a mental exercise, but it’s alive, it’s touchable, it’s experiential, it’s relational, because it’s completely attached to the person, Jesus Christ.
We believe that when we meet together for fellowship, prayer, and worship, that God desires to meet with us, and that our time together is an interactive experience with Him.
A Missional Life
We believe that as the people of God we are called to live a missional life, being open and ready for the Holy Spirit to work through us, to touch a hurting world. Living a missional life means allowing heaven to touch earth wherever we are. It means living a life of God’s purpose, and laying down our lives and will for His sake.
We want to GO and be an active part in bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world. (Matthew 28:19)
We want to REACH those from around the world who are in Tulsa with the love of God and share the hope of Jesus. (Luke 10-25-37)
We want to SHINE the light of Jesus locally in our neighborhoods and communities. (Matthew 5:14-16)
We believe this mission comes to life through the people God brings to All Nations, and all the gifts and callings everyone carries. This is not only the pastor’s or leadership’s job, but every believer has a part in this. Everyone gets to play!
Community
All Nations is a beautiful community of people from many different backgrounds, cultures, and ethnicity.
We believe that love for one another is essential to unity in our church. (Ephesians 4:1-3)
We believe that God’s plan for the Body of Christ is unity in diversity, not only in ethnic and cultural diversity, but also in social economic stations, ages, gifting, and callings.
We believe that as one body is made of many members, God has made us all different and has given us different spiritual gifts. God wants to use and work through all of us, and each member is important for the entire body. (1 Corinthians 12)
We take Acts 2:42-47 as the example we follow, of what it means to be in true community.
Love and Grace
John 13:35 says: “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – In 1 Corinthians 13, Paul makes it very clear. If we have everything, but do not have love, we have nothing. In 1 John 4:7-16, Love is the measure of our nearness to God, because God is Love. Love is God’s nature, and we, as His children, born again, have also now taken on His nature, and His life, through Christ. God’s grace, which we all do not deserve, is at the heart of the Gospel.
In the story of the woman caught in adultery, in John 8:1-11, Jesus extends grace and truth. He said, “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin. It’s His kindness that leads us to repentance. (Romans 2:1-4)
